Gods provision book

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19

We all have needs, whether they are spiritual, physical, financial or emotional. Sometimes our need is so great that we have a difficult time trusting that the Lord will come through. We all have been there–on our knees begging God to come through and trusting Him to do so. Since my husband and I got married we have kept a book of all the things the Lord has provided for us. I call the book the “God’s Provision Book” and I keep record of the ways He has provided. There have been times where we really needed a breakthrough in wisdom, times we needed the Lord to provide for a need financially, and other times it has been a physical need or a breakthrough in a trial, but regardless of the need we have SEEN God show up. We keep record of it so that when we are going through another difficultly we can remind ourselves of what God has done and what He will do. Today, as I was updating several things where God has miraculously provided and encouraged our heart, I was overwhelmed at how such a precious and magnificent God cares for me and the little things in my life; but that’s just how my Father is. He takes care of His children. When we step out in faith trusting Him and He provides, He always gets the glory. Reading over the entries over the last few years I was reminded of many things I had forgotten and was amazed all over again. We keep our eyes open for His working and the pages open to be filled as He continues to work in His faithfulness.

In scripture we see this example with the children of Israel who continually would complain about the difficulties they were walking in because they forgot the BIG things God had brought them through. They made a visual of stones that would remind them of what the Lord had done. I encourage you to make note of how God provides for you so that you will never forget His stones of remembrance in your life. Image
