  1. What a beautiful post, Brittany. Timely and necessary. We so often need reminders just like this!

It was hard to read, “Someone to enjoy life and endure losses with.” You have endured, and continue to endure the loss of Patrick’s earthly presence. Some might look at you and say that you had to endure the “loss” of Patrick without the one person with whom you were meant to endure those losses. It doesn’t take much insight though to know that you did not endure then, and are not enduring now the loss of Patrick alone. Brittany, you are showing anyone who witnesses your life that we are never, ever truly alone. I am continually amazed at how God is using you.

You remind me of Isaiah 54:5, “For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.” I do not believe a person could endure the pains of loss without knowing our Lord intimately, the way husband and wife know each other. I believe you are daily leaning on the “everlasting arms” of your Maker. Though the world may not see Him present with you, the life you are leading will point to Him and help open blind eyes.

Thank you for posing the question, “How are you displaying this gift and treasure in your life?” I pray that my life will display love and sacrifice, daily dying to self. HE is so worthy!

Thank you again for YOUR sacrifice.

    God bless you!
