      1. You’re welcome. I always like sharing my favourite saints with others. The saints were always so passionate about God and acknowledged that they were filled with a multitude of failures themselves.

  1. I just happened upon your photo on instagram and read a little of your posts and found my way here. Just wanted to share with you my complete admiration for you and your touching story. My heart breaks for you and the darling boys who will grow up to love a dad who died too early. My prayers are with you and your family. You are a true servant of our Risen Lord.

  2. I found your blog through a mutual friend, Lindsay Meadows…and I am so glad I did. You have a story, and you have a voice (in more ways than one) and how refreshing it is to see you use both for the glory of our great God. I know the story you speak of and walk through on a daily basis is hard and has been filled with suffering over the past year, but through your pain, it is so evident that you are choosing joy. Thank you for showing a watching world that Christ is worth every ounce of suffering that comes into our lives. Praying for you as you reach the one year anniversary of Patrick’s home-going.

  3. Katy you are just so so precious! Thank you for taking the time to write me and encourage me! What a blessing you are! SO thankful for Jesus and that He never wastes a thing! To God be the glory for all He does! Thank you so very much for your prayers, they are a treasure! And I dearly love that beautiful Lindsay, she is such a gem! 🙂 Blessings to you girl! Thank you again!

  4. Brittany, I enjoy your blog and posts immensely. I lost my wife, Renee, two years ago this month after 25 years of marriage. It is difficult even to comprehend how to approach life as a widower, especially in my forties and with two teenage girls who miss their mom. But your words are very encouraging and inspiring. Thanks very much for sharing – it makes a difference for many of us, including me. Blessings and peace to you and your boys –
    John

    1. Such a blessing to meet you. I’m so excited about the group WidowLife…being 48 and losing my husband of 21 1/2 years of marriage is so much harder than I ever imagined. Dealing with 3 teenagers is definitely a task that I never imagined trying to do alone. Looking forward to more encouraging meetings.

  5. Hi Brittany
Your Instagram page showed up in my “people to look at” feed and your beautiful smile and happy face compelled me to look at your page. Although I haven’t experienced the kind of pain and loss you have, your words and faith and are so inspiring. Your advice for couples to always love and always forgive and always love God is something that is so important to not forget. I find myself getting so caught up in things even in my own relationship, which really aren’t that important and if tragedy struck, would I be able to have the kind of faith that you do. God has plans beyond what any of us can understand and yours is truly a special one. Best of luck with your beautiful family and your faith is compelling on so many levels. God bless you.

  6. Hi Brittany,
I came across your Instagram page and was drawn to the beautiful pictures of you and your boys, so I clicked on it. Little did I know I would spend a portion of my day at work with my office door closed, tears down my face, reading all of your incredible posts. Although I am incapable of comprehending your unbearable grief, I want you to know that I am praying for you and wish there was something I could do or say to help you. Your family is stunningly beautiful and your children are absolutely precious – I hope to have kids just like yours some day. thank you for the gentle reminder of how precious life is. I know you don’t know me, but I am here if you ever need anything, or just someone to cry to. Keep doing what you’re doing – it IS working – and I just know you have an abundance of blessings coming your way as you live with such great expectancy.

    Love,
    Katie

  8. Dearest Brittany-
I ran across you on Instagram and was instantly hooked. We are 26 and 27, married for 3yrs, with a 2yr old and an 8mo old. My husband’s job schedule drastically changed recently and it has made life with little ones quite different…and this stressed-out Mommy has been taking it out on her man. Reading your posts has stopped me in my tracks. Your husband looked so much like mine – he sounds so similar – and heart trouble runs in my husband’s family…it is almost scary. I firmly believe the Lord placed you in my path to remind me to start cherishing moments again with the wonderful husband He has given me! I feel so selfish writing this, speaking of my own husband while yours is in Heaven…yet, I wanted you to know that God has used you today. I have a strong feeling that your story and the sweet photos will float through my mind and stop snappy words and provoke hugs. 🙂 God has a plan!
Thank you, thank you, thank you with all my heart for embracing this road and choosing to allow God to use you through this tragedy. You are a blessing!!

  9. Liz thank you so so much for taking the time to write me! Your comment blessed me more than you know! What an encouragement to know the Lord is using our pain for His purpose! So thankful for that! Thank you again girl
